Oakland Marriott City Center Serves Thanksgiving Dinner to Local Citizens in Need

Oakland, CA – The Oakland Marriott City Center celebrates Thanksgiving by giving back to the community. The 18th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner serves a free holiday meal to over 2,000 low-income families, homeless, and senior citizens in the bay area. The Annual Thanksgiving Dinner, being held on November 24, 2009, is sponsored by: the Oakland Marriott, Oakland’s Department of Human Services, Communities United Committee, and the Emergency Food Providers Advisory Committee.
The Annual Thanksgiving Dinner provides a unique opportunity for government agencies, local non-profits, volunteers, and the Oakland Marriott to provide assistance and hope to the community. Thanksgiving dinner guests will enjoy a free holiday dinner and live entertainment.
